Little Black Dress goes to the movies....

Atonement has to be the best book-to-film adaptation since Ann Hathaway sashayed her way across Runway's foyer to serve Meryl Streep. Not only is the story a corker which will have you weeping into your popcorn for about 2hours over the injustices of war; not only does it star the very talented Mr James McAvoy; not only does it question the security of the novelist/reader relationship and the very nature of atonement, but it manages to do all this while oozing a sultry 1930s glamour. A must-see on every level.
